Rotrude of Haspengau
Duchess consort of Austrasia (715 - 724)
Also called Chrotrude or Chrothrudis
Born (c690) – Died (724)
Buried in the Basilica of St Denis at Rheims

Rotrude is usually described as ‘Rotrude of Treves’ in most genealogies of the Carolingian family.
Called a daughter of St Lieutwinus, Bishop of Treves and his wife Willigarda of Alemannia
However, modern research by Settipani has instead placed Rotrude as the sister of Robert I of Haspengau and I have pursued this lineage.
